Center for Safeguarding and Human Formation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Under the aegis of the Jesuit Conference of South Asia)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is a great need in the Indian subcontinent for a place that offers services in Human Formation for clergy, religious and laity. Therefore, the concept of the Center for Safeguarding and Human Formation<\/strong>.  This center is under the aegis of the Jesuit Conference of South Asia (JCSA)<\/strong>. It is located at De Nobili College (DNC), Pune. The center draws its inspiration from the documents Pastores Dabo Vobis<\/em> (1992), Ratio Fundamentalis Institutionis Sacerdotalis<\/em>, (2016) and Vox Estis Lux Mundi<\/em> (VELM) (2019, 2023), which have a specific focus on formation and safeguarding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Various courses on formation and human development are conducted and one of the strong focuses is the safeguarding of minors and vulnerable adults. A variety of training and ongoing formation courses \u2013 online and offline are conducted here. This place serves as a one-stop shop for research on various ministry\/apostolate issues. Specialized counseling services are offered \u2013 residential, by appointment and walk-ins. Resource, research and renewal are its foci.<\/strong> Professionals from among clergy and laity are part of the faculty of this center and help in its running.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clergy and religious, men and women as well as laity are encouraged to attend the training and awareness building programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
