Fr.Lancy Monteiro

Fr. Lancy Monteiro, a Jesuit from the Karnataka Province, serves as a faculty member of Theology at the Pontifical Athenaeum, Jnana Deepa Institute of Philosophy and Theology. In addition to this role, he is on the staff at the Karnataka Regional Theology Centre in Anekal and also serves at the Nunciature in Delhi.

Fr. Dayal Lakra SJ

Fr. Dayal Lakra, SJ, from the Dumka-Raiganj Province, serves as an administrator (Superior to the Philosophy faculty at De Nobili College). He holds a Bachelor’s in Education, an MA in English, a Diploma in Counselling, a Diploma in AMR Therapy, and a Licentiate in Spirituality from Spain.

Fr.Parciush R Marak

Parciush R. Marak from the Kohima Region serves in the Philosophy faculty.

Fr.Gideon Warisa SJ

Fr. Gideon Warisa, SJ, from the Kohima Region, serves in the Theology faculty at the Pontifical Athenaeum, Jnana Deepa Institute of Philosophy and Theology, specializing in Scripture. He has published an article titled “He Must Increase but I Must Decrease: The Confession of John the Baptist about Jesus in John 3:22-36” in ‘Ripples of Wisdom’.

Fr. Ryan Savio Rodrigues, SJ


Fr. Ryan Savio Rodrigues, SJ, from the Karnataka Province, completed an MA in Sanskrit at Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. He also completed his Philosophiae Licentiatus at Jnana Deepa (JD), Pune, with a thesis on “Theories of Sentence Meaning in Pūrva Mīmāṃsā: A Critical Enquiry.” Presently, he has been appointed for trial teaching (since May 2022) in the Faculty of Philosophy, Department of Epistemology at JD, Pune, and is preparing for a PhD.

His interests include Pastoral Ministry, Indian Philosophy and Religions, Mathematics, Public Speaking, Teaching, Reading, Writing, and the study of classical languages (Pali, Prakrit, Greek, and Latin).

Fr. Konrad Noronha, SJ

Professor Konrad Noronha is a counsellor educator, psychotherapist, and spiritual director. He is the Founder Director of the Center for Safeguarding and Human Formation (CSHF) at De Nobili College, Pune, India. He has a doctorate in counsellor education and supervision from Loyola University Maryland. He has an MS in mental health counselling. He is a qualified homoeopathic medical doctor in his home country, India. His approach to patients, clients and directees, is holistic and he uses integrated approaches in his treatment, therapy, and spiritual direction. His doctorate in counsellor education and supervision enhances his abilities to deal with a wide variety of clients, with mental health problems. Professor Konrad is on the faculty of Jnana Deepa Pontifical Athenium of Philosophy and Theology, Pune, India. He teaches in the Pastoral Management Program (PMP) program, the spirituality program, and in the theology and philosophy departments. He also conducts retreats and offers spiritual direction and counselling services and a number of other services through the CSHF.
